Test bike days 2009!

We've finalised the dates for our test days for 2009. We're still visiting our old favourites Afan and Cwmcarn, but now we've also included a few dates with Brechfa.

So let's go over this. You get to ride some of the best full suss mountain bikes of 2009 (from the likes of Specialized, Giant and Commencal), over some of the best trails and singletrack in the UK, for free.

Worth making a note of these dates then, you reckon?

Afan Argoed: April 26 & July 26
Cwm Carn: March 15, June 28 & September 27
Brechfa: May 24 & August 23

Test bike day

This Sunday, 7th of September is our last test bike day of the year. The last chance you'll have (well, almost, see yesterdays post) to ride this special crop of full suspension bikes in the environment for which they were intended.

Cwmcarn is a brilliant place to test out our bikes and it's easy to get to. So what you waiting for? Check out the full range and get in touch to avoid disappointment...

Bike demo day

10th August is our last test day in Afan this year (one more in Cwm Carn on 7th Sept). Yup, this Sunday is the last time you'll be able to take one of our awesome full suspension test bikes round one of the world best trails. Penhydd is waiting for you...

Our staff will as always be there to offer full support, from setting up the shocks to offering riding advice. So give our Swansea store a phone on 01792 702555 and book your bike for the day.

And in case you were wondering I just checked the local weather and it looks sunny and warm for Sunday.

So no excuses then...

Cwmcarn test day

Another lush day in Cwmcarn and this time it actually managed to coincide with one of our test days!

The lovely peole that turned up on the day, not only got a day of sunshine in a beautiful part of the world, but also got to ride some flat out awesome bikes over an increadible trail.

So why weren't you there?

Cwm Carn test day

Another test bike day coming up. This one is taking place at Cwm Carn on Sunday 13th. Go to to our Test bike website, pick your bike from our  range of full suspension rides, then give us a phone on 01792 799508 to book it and avoid disappointment.

You should be able to find something you want to ride, whether thats the Giant Trance 2, the Specialized Enduro or the Scott Gambler.

For those of you who don't know Cwm Carn too well, it's very conveniently located just 20 miles from the Severn bridge. It has some of the best singletrack either side of the bridge - and if you stop for long enough to catch your breath you'll get some awesome South Wales views.

How to return a test bike

Some customer recently returned a couple of test bikes, a Specialized Pitch Pro and a Giant Reign X1 (click the links to see what they look like sans crud), to be precise. Not that you'd be able to identify them that easily...

Judging from the state of the bikes and the massive sheepish grin on the face of the guy who brought them back we'd say they had a pretty awesome time.

Another sunny day in Afan

Our first test bike day of the year in Afan was on Sunday. A very good turnout, brilliant weather and a fine selection of bikes all contributed towards a great day. Thanks to everyone that showed their face, thanks for bringing back the bikes in one piece and we'll see you next time in Cwm Carn on the 16th of March. New test bike venue!

A new year, a new venue for our test bike days. Not that we’re forgetting about Afan, who could? But it’s just we couldn’t really afford to overlook Cwm Carn either. So close to our Cardiff store, so accessible from the M4 and such a stonking good trail, we just had to have some dates up there.

So now we have two world class locations where you, you lucky people, can come and test one of our top of the range full suspension bikes. Gratis. That’s right, just bring some proof that you won’t try and go too far off piste with our Scott Gambler and we’ll let you take it for a spin for free. Don’t like the sound of the Scott Gambler? What's the matter with you?! Well how about the Specialized Stumpjumper FSR Pro or the Giant Trance 2? There’s plenty more bikes to choose from and a whole range of dates to pick from too, check out our test bikes website for this and more information.

Tredz Test Bike Day

It's getting closer to the final Tredz test bike day of this year on Sunday the 25th of November 2007 in Afan Argoed. Our brand spanking new 2008 test bikes are straining to be let loose. Whilst the hard working employees of Tredz have to wait till you’ve gotten them all muddy (bitter, me? Nooooo), this Sunday will see us giving you some of our 2008 Specialized and Giant bikes for a spin around a shortened Penhydd in glorious Afan, gratis.

You’ll need to bring two forms of picture ID, a credit card and all the other gubbins that you’d normally take with you on a day out in the hills (helmet, tubes, food, drink, first aid etc). You can turn up on the day without having pre-booked but be aware that it’s on a first come first served basis, so if you’ve got your eye on a specific bike it’s best to pre-book. All that’s left to say is, for my sake, ride slowly. If you feel like there’s any chance the bike might get damaged, push. And if you have to fall, try and fall underneath the bike.

Tredz bike test day

Fancy having a go on some bikes? Some 2008 bikes? Some 2008 full-suspension bikes from Giant and Specialized? In Afan?
The 25th of November will see us handing out our precious, precious 2008 models to all and sundry for a spin around a shortened Penhydd in Afan. For free.  All you have to do is let us know you're turning up.
