Awww...

Yeah, we stopped posting our feedback a while ago. It was decided that a seperate page would do it. But once in a while, somebody says something to us so nice that we can't help ourselves:

Thank you so much for your excellent service. I ordered the bike online on Monday evening, having spoken to an extremely helpful chap in your Swansea store ( I am sorry I don't recall his name).
My bike arrived within 48hrs, on Wednesday afternoon, beautifully set up - the gears like silk.
I am nearly 60 and haven't done much riding for years but now I am out and about cycling 20 odd miles a day on our glorious Galloway cycle routes.
The advice on frame size etc from Swansea was spot on.
Thank you for your great service. It was a pleasure to buy from you.
 
Incidentally my husband ordered a bike on the internet from XXXXX Cycles on Sunday afternoon and it didn't arrive until Thursday! Well done!!

We stopped posting customer feedback here a little while ago. If you want to see people saying nice things about us (well, we occasionally do!), you can still find some here.

We can't not put thisSpecialized Enduro, US livery up though.

Meet a very happy customer with his brand new, unavailable in the UK Specialized Enduro.
 
After breaking his frame on the trail, he got in touch with us, we got in touch with Spesh, and they showed us again why they are one of the very best companies around to deal with.

They deemed the break to be warranty, but unfortuntately this model wasn't being made any more in the UK. The answer? Ship one in from the US! You won't find many of these out on the UK trails, so say hello when you see the awesome green paintwork passing you on a fireroad...

Christmas cheer!

We've had a pretty eventful 12 months here at Tredz. As we've continued to expand (2010: world domination!) we've continued to keep our customers happy. 

It seems our forthrightness and downright hard work for all of our customers is really appreciated at this time of the year. And in turn we're sincerely grateful to all the customers who've gotten back in touch with us to thank us and wish us a happy Christmas. Sample quotes?

We're getting busier and busier as our customers are going through the painful process of buying Christmas presents for cyclists.

We're not complaining though, we like busy here at Tredz, but it is awesome when our customers let us know we're doing our job well.

Which is why we've now got a dedicated page for customer feedback on our main site. It's not always completely glowing, but hopefully it shows that we will always bend over backwards for our customers.

Thanks Zak! We're working as hard as we can to ensure our customers get the best products, at the best price AND a real live (after tea and biscuits), human to ensure they are kept updated. It always means a lot when we know we're doing ok.

Customer feedback

A bit of nice weather and it looks like we're not the only ones gagging to get outside. We're sending loads of bikes out at the moment.

So it's nice to know that even though there's a lot leaving us, we're still hitting our target of keeping our customers happy.

One minor query.....can I ride it straight away? It being a long time since having a bike, the chain does not seem to be oiled......though not completely dry it feels 'sticky'.

With regards to your query, check our post about greasing your bike. Short answer though, after the first ride give it some bike lube!

Sunny weekend + a new bike

Got an e-mail from Emma the other day. She was wondering whether the bike (a Giant Rock ladies mountain bike), she had ordered would be with her in time for the weekend.

Fair question.

Who wouldn't want to make sure they had a bike on a weekend like the one we just had?

Happily we were able to get back to her with this:

Nothing makes us happier than sorting a customer out with a new bike. Except maybe getting out on our own bikes on sunny weekends...

To lube or not to lube?

Grease is the word Just got this e-mail from Marc:

Hi just taken arrival of my new bike from you, thanks.
Do I need to grease the chain and if so what do you recommend any brand etc

Ok, although we pre-grease everything that needs it before the bike leaves us, we reckon the chain should be greased after it's first ride.

Wipe the excess off, spin the chain for a minute and you're good for your next ride

With regards to which lube, there's a pretty big choice of very good bike lubes out there. We can narrow it down by telling you not to use your Dad's garden shed grease or that old bottle of WD-40 we've all got. They'll both attract more crud than keep off and in the long run do more damage than good.

Use a proper bike lube and you'll have started looking after your bike the right way from the off.
