Last years winner, the Giant TCR Advanced 3 was completely deserved. Road bikes just don't sit easily in pigeon holes anymore. Race bikes that you can sit on all day, sportive bikes stiff enough to race on...
The 2010 Giant TCR range hasn't lost any of it's appeal. Like an 'old friend' according to Cycling Plus, giving it 9/10 in the process. It just missed the final cut though.
The eventual winner frankly isn't too much of a surprise to those in the bike industry. Cannondale always make quality, innovative bikes, but this year there's been a noticeable step up in their entry/mid level road bikes. So, the Cannondale six Carbon 105. 2010 bike of the year. "A sublime ride quality at 700 quid less than the others".
We've a sneaking suspicion that a 'bike of the year comp' given the range of price points and possible uses is a bit impossible, but we won't argue with the winner.
Should another bike have won? Any other thoughts or comments? Let us know!
