Food vs. Discs

Hope Mono M4 limited edition disc brakes Bike customisation and upgrading is a slippery slope. How far can you go to make your bike uniquely tailored to your needs without sending yourself so far into the red, you’re having to consider faking your own death. We all tread this line very carefully, but it never hurts to do a bit of window-shopping.

During one of my late-night-bike-component-surfing-marathons the other day, I stumbled across these beauties from Hope. They are a limited edition colour, only available in June, and are, other than the magical Hope anodised red calliper and master cylinder, identical to the standard Mono M4s, even the same price.

Straight away, I was off to the online bank and then some frantic sums to work out how many tins of value beans I would have to live off in order to have the Hope Mono M4 limited edition disc brakes adorning my new bike. It might be a bit of a stretch, so if you see me wasting away a bit more than usual over the next week or so, bear with me, it will all be so worth it in the end!!
