Le Tour rocks
What an awesome weekend. Let’s be clear: I’m not the world’s biggest road racing fan but I do know that London pulsed with the prologue on Saturday. Thanks to the lovely folks at Specialized we got to see the current World Champion in the time trial, Fabian Cancellara, blow away the field with an incredible run (so fast, he nearly overtook the police motorbike!) first hand. I’m sure you saw it yourself and read enough in the Sunday/Monday papers so I wont bang on here too much.
What rocks about the weekend: Specialized bikes and equipment (66 riders are using their kit; from glasses to wheels). Robbie McEwen - the fastest man on the planet over 200 metres and a true master of his trade. Tom Boonen - the guy is a tornado and will win stages and maybe, just maybe, yellow. Bradley Wiggins finishing a very admirable 4th. The crowd being 6 deep all around the course.
What sucks: the crowd being 6 deep all around the course. Sean Yates’ tumble. My burnt forehead.
